Colombian rockers Los Aterciopelados, with their slap-happy montuno/house rhythms and whisky-voiced chanteuse, are silkily subversive, while Ozomatlis « Cumbia De Los Muertos » grounds a Mexican cumbia with heavy hits of reggae and hip-hop.
